1 Feb 2021 New Mental Health Support Course at the FM MU The Department of Psychology and Psychosomatics of the FM MU offers a new course for this spring semester: Applied Positive Psychology for Health and Well-Being (aVLAP021) for students of not only the Faculty of Medicine, but for the students of the whole Masaryk University. The new course is focused on mental health and well-being and it will be taught in English, which means it is very suitable for our international students.

11 Jan 2021 The Medical Students’ Association will build a memorial for body donors, in cooperation with Faculty of Medicine MU For the third consecutive year at the Faculty of Medicine MU, we commemorated all those who donated their bodies in order to ensure quality education of anatomy at our Faculty at our reverence meeting. Following a suggestion from the Head of the Department of Anatomy FM MU, the idea of building a memorial for body donors at the Central Cemetery in Brno arose. This idea was then adopted by the students of the Medical Students’ Association.
20 Dec 2020 Faculty of Medicine MU’s Advent Concert for Body Donors This year’s reverence for body donors took place in the form of a small gathering at the Department of Anatomy of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University. This year, students and others were able to express their respect and gratitude by joining the virtual concert. In the two-hour recording you will hear 37 amazing compositions!
16 Dec 2020 The world's first operation of paediatric scoliosis with a new spinal system took place at the Brno University Hospital On Friday 11th December 2020, a historical first paediatric scoliosis operation using the new Ennovate system was successfully performed at the Brno University Hospital. The 15-year-old female patient underwent surgery with an implant developed by the German company B. Braun.
