At Masaryk University, and its Faculty of Medicine, following the example of international good practice, the issue of sustainable operation is approached responsibly and with respect.

Masaryk University as a whole and within all its units has been active in the field of sustainable development and socially responsible behaviour for a long time.

In addition to responsible procurement, it emphasizes energy management in building management, uses renewable energy sources, focuses on energy-saving solutions in the construction of new buildings, and implements many other projects on sustainability and environmental protection using the capacities of the university's scientific departments. In line with the principles of social sustainability, the focus is also on creating a safe and stimulating environment for both students and employees, and on the active contribution of the Faculty and the University to the sustainable development of the entire society.
