The unique workshop "Pelvic reconstructive surgery - anatomical, clinical and surgical workshop" was held at the Anatomical Institute of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University on Thursday, 28th April 2022.
The event was intended for 5th and 6th year students of General Medicine and also for doctors in specialty training in gynaecology and obstetrics. The workshop is also linked to an interdisciplinary scientific research project with the acronym "UG Power", the main objective of which is to measure the strength of pelvic organ suspension by various surgical techniques, which is implemented in cooperation with the Institute of Solid Mechanics, Mechatronics and Biomechanics from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Ing. Tomáš Návrat, Ph.D.
MUDr. Martin Huser, Ph.D., MBA and MUDr. Samuel Tvarožek from the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of FM MU and Assoc. Prof. MUDr. Marek Joukal, Ph.D. from the Department of Anatomy of FM MU. The seminar was held entirely in English so that foreign students of FM MU could also participate.
