Masaryk University and its units strive to facilitate and support flexible forms of work and to create conditions for childcare and family care that enable employees to balance work and family responsibilities. It provides guidance and support to students' parents to help them complete their studies successfully.
The Faculty of Medicine strives to avoid discrimination against all students and staff. We offer friendly working and study conditions regardless of age, gender, race, religion. We offer employees flexible working hours and part-time work. All LF MU premises are wheelchair accessible and we also focus on supporting parents with young children.
The University and its units strive to facilitate and support flexible forms of work and create conditions for providing childcare and family care to enable employees to balance work and family responsibilities.
Are you looking forward to the arrival of a new family member, but worried about whether you will be able to meet your study obligations while caring for them? Since 2013, there has been what is known as a Recognised Period of Parenthood (RPP), during which time the college makes arrangements to take your new living situation into account. It can be used by a student on maternity leave or parental leave.
We are creating conditions for childcare and family care that will make work-life balance even easier for employees. We work with several children's groups and employees can also use the babysitting corner.
The university also offers its employees a contribution to the tuition fees of a kindergarten or a children's group as a benefit.
Changing stations are located throughout the Campus, making it easy to care for the smallest members of the family on site. We strive to create an environment that promotes work-life balance and makes daily functioning easier for parents.
The campus has rooms suitable for group and individual student work. As part of the investment in a project called Improving the Infrastructure for Educational Activities in the Campus Library, the rooms have been modified to allow group discussion by students without disturbing others.
CAREER RESTART grants support the integration of post-career scientists into MU research teams. The aim of the grant is to create conditions for the integration of researchers into research teams at Masaryk University after a career break, for example due to parental leave, long-term illness or long-term care of a loved one. The grant will facilitate and accelerate the return of young talented scientists to productive scientific careers and thus increase the percentage of their representation in independent/senior research positions.
