Simple eukaryotic cells of budding and fission yeasts provide a convenient experimental systém which will allow us to gain a deeper insight into the role of the cytoskeletal structures, actin and microtubules, in polar growth during the cell cycle and ma ting of cells, in the synthesis and formation of cell walls in both cells and protoplasts and in formation of the spore wall.
