Seeking a grant
The journey from a mere idea to the triumphant execution of a project demands the collective creativity of the research team, complemented by the valuable guidance and support from our proficient grant office staff. What are the fundamental stages in the project's inception and execution, and how can our assistance facilitate this process?
-
💡 Having an idea
We're here to collaborate with you on your project concept and recommend the most suitable grant application pathways.
-
✍ Starting to prepare the proposal
Our team collaborates with you to create an abstract, which undergoes faculty approval. International projects (Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, FM EEA Norway, and others), projects funded by operational programmes, selected national projects like TACR, GACR, JUNIOR STAR, and EXPRO, any other projects with a budget exceeding CZK 20 million, including VAT, projects that involve co-financing as specified by the grant call, must be approved by the Review board of FM. We then guide you through the application preparation, maintaining communication with funding providers to provide detailed information of your interest. Additionally, we offer methodological support.
-
✔ The proposal is ready
We assist with submitting the application, including all required annexes, and provide support with necessary administrative procedures.
-
⏳ Waiting for a funding decision
We continuously track the status and evaluation progress of submitted applications. In cases where projects aren't recommended for funding, we conduct in-depth analysis of the evaluation outcomes.
-
👍 The project is approved for funding
We'll provide comprehensive guidance throughout the entire process, from signing the grant or consortium agreement to making any necessary changes in the project, adjusting the budget, addressing staffing needs, and handling economic matters.
-
📈 Implementing the project
Throughout the project implementation, we offer administrative, methodological, and economic support to ensure the seamless execution of the project and the achievement of its objectives.
Throughout your research journey, there are various project schemes available to bolster your work, whether as an individual or part of a collaborative effort. The following visual guides will assist you in exploring grant options suitable for researchers at different career stages, from First Stage Researcher (R1) to Recognised Researcher (R2), Established Researcher (R3), and Leading Researcher (R4).
Collaborative project pathways
The first table outlines potential pathways for collaborative projects involving multiple researchers or teams operating within consortia, categorized into basic or applied research and education.
Individual project pathways
The second table details opportunities for individual projects that promote the personal growth of your independent scientific career within your research domain, with a breakdown of European, national, and internal projects.
