Mechanobiology of lymphocytes is unexplored emerging field with the significant promise for paradigm-shifting breakthroughs with therapeutic potential. Mechanical activation of adherent cells is long studied. However, tools to study mechanobiology of poorly adherent lymphocytes are available only recently. We take advantage of these new tools and integrate expertise of the two teams to form unique combination of experimental approaches, model systems and know-how to discover how lymphocytes and derived malignant cells respond to mechanical signals.
