Navrhovaný projekt je zaměřen na studium úlohy lektinů v symbióze a patogenezi v tripartitních systémech, ve kterých se neuplatňuje pouze jednoduchý bivalentní vztah hostitel-patogen. Budeme primárně studovat význam lektinů z klíštěte obecného a lektinů
z bakterií Photorhabdus spp., jež patří mezi lidské i hmyzí patogeny žijící symbióze s hlísticemi Heterorhabditis spp., se snahou pochopit jejich zapojení komplexních patogenních systémech
bakterie-přenašeč-hostitel.
