The purpose of the project is to establish a so called “community of practice” ensuring regular cooperation and ideas-sharing between individual participants – university teachers, primary and secondary school teachers (ISCED 1–3) and students of teacher training programmes. The project is based on the presumption that both parties have a lot to contribute – the academic world may offer its theoretical grounding, research findings, conceptual apparatus, didactic and educational-psychological approaches; teacher-practitioners may offer their experience and teaching ideas which might be reflected upon and used as an input in finding both appropriate didactic approaches and instructional strategies. The project outcome should enhance the quality of education through teachers’ (resp. teacher training programme students’) professional development including the development of their didactic, evaluation, educational-psychological and psycho-didactic competences. The project will have a key impact on learners, in particular on the development of their literacy (information, reading and mathematical), civic and social competences. The project is in line with the defined objectives and outcomes of the Framework Educational Programme (FEP) within a currently adopted inclusive education approach. The common denominator of the broad-based project activities is an effort to create new opportunities for implementation of curriculum reform objectives.
