The main objective of the two-year Erasmus+ Strategic partnersip project is to get insight into the current approaches, best practices and needs involved in the process of transition from VET to work and produce and valorize two quality career guidance and counselling service tools. In the first year of the project the “The Mini-guide for Employers of Young People with Special Educational Needs” providing essential information and guidelines for employers and other stakeholders involved in making employment accessible for young people with SEN will be developed. This will be followed by elaboration of the “The Passport to Employment for Young people with Special Educational Needs” a guidance and self-advocacy tool for VET students with SEN transitioning from VET to work. The work will be done in collaboration of several stakeholders from VET schools, employers, universities, NGOs and disability organizations from the United Kingdom, Finland, the Czech Republic, and Estonia. There will be eight partners in the consorcium, one institution of higher education from each participating country joined by one national partner of different type. The project work will be based on previous joint project (TILE) targeted at developing inclusive environment at VET colleges, which was elaborated by a part of the current project consortium in 2011 – 2013.
Project meetings with tools development workshops and best practices presentations will be held in each participating country, tools will be developed collaboratively by all participants of the consorcium and piloted in selected countries. Dissemination events including final conference will be held in each participating country.
