The publication critically compares importance of different imaging methods in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of small bowel diseases. Authors put the stress on the ultrasound of the small bowel and they introduced a new method - the ultrasound enteroclysis. During the solution of the grant project the authors succeded in prospective randomise study demonstrated that the ultrasound investigation of the small bowel, specially small bowel enteroclysis has got in indicated cases some specificity and sensitivity as enteroclysis. In the first place in the diagnosis and follow up of the patients with Crohn's diseases has the ultrasound great importance. The results are evaluated statistically. The accessory of the text is a lot of documentation ultrasound and x-ray pictures.
