Thanks to the support from the National Institute for Cancer Research NPO EXCELES programme, a new research group was established at the Department of Biology. The group will be led by Lenka Bešše. With her team, she will conduct research in the field of cancer immunotherapy.

The beginning of the year 2023 at the faculty was, among other things, in the spirit of continuous evaluation of the faculty's HR strategy and its implementation with regard to the activities that were written into the HR Award Action Plan in 2021 and based on which the European Commission awarded FM MU the HR Excellence in Research Award. In April 2023, a self-assessment report and the revised Action Plan were sent to the European Commission. The faculty received feedback on these documents in May.

We are pleased to announce that within the implementation of the HR strategy of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, a faculty self-assessment was carried out two years after receiving the HR Excellence in Research Award (HR Award), which was evaluated very positively by the European Commission.
