Meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine MU
The first meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University this year took place on 25 January 2024.
On 25 January 2024, a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University took place. The Scientific Council met for the first time in the new composition appointed for the second term of Dean Repko.
At the meeting of the SC of the Faculty of Medicine, the Dean Prof. Martin Repko, Ph.D., thanked the outgoing Head Prof. Pavel Brycht, M.D., CSc. from the Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical University Hospital Brno for his long and excellent work and presented him with a letter of thanks and a small gift. Furthermore, two qualification procedures were discussed:
Proposal for appointment of Assoc. MUDr. Vit Weinberger, Ph.D., Head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine and Medical University in Brno, as Professor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. The proposal was presented by the chairman of the evaluation committee, Prof. Pavel Ventruba, MD, DrSc., MBA. The candidate presented a lecture on "The importance of stratification of patients with gynaecological malignancies" to the members of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine of MU.
Proposal for the appointment of MUDr. Zita Chovancová, Ph.D., Deputy Head of the Institute of Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the Medical Faculty of MU and St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno, as Associate Professor in Medical Immunology. The proposal was presented by the Chairman of the Habilitation Committee, Prof. Miroslav Toman, CSc. The candidate presented a lecture on "Selected clinical and laboratory aspects of non-malignant disorders of antibody production in adulthood" to the members of the MU Faculty of Medicine Scientific Council.
The Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine of MU proposed to appoint Assoc. MUDr. Vít Weinberger, Ph.D., Professor in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and MUDr. Zita Chovancová, Ph.D., Associate Professor in
