On Friday 11th October and Saturday 12th October, two important events took place in Lisbon under the auspices of His Excellency Ambassador Martin Pohl of the Czech Republic in Portugal. The first one took place on Friday, when the Vice-Dean for English Studies and Internationalisation of the Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Křivan and the Head of the International Studies Office Helena Melicharová had the opportunity to present the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University and the possibilities of studying General Medicine and Dentistry to representatives of secondary schools in Lisbon. The meeting generated great interest in our University and allowed students and teachers to learn more about studying and life in Brno.
Saturday then belonged to a meeting with graduates of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry who are already practising medicine in Portugal. In the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador, the meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and provided a space for an exchange of experiences and opinions. The graduates appreciated the opportunity to make contact with other colleagues in the field and to share their professional achievements and memories of their student years in Brno. The event enjoyed a positive response and contributed to strengthening the ties between the faculty and its alumni. This meeting was also attended by Dr Vasilis Tzigkounakis from CMS Agency, who has long been promoting the Faculty of Medicine MU in Portugal and contributes significantly to the dissemination of information about the University among local students.
