MUNI SCIENTIST for three outstanding scientists from FM MU
Masaryk University once again honoured its outstanding scientists. 37 individuals and research teams were awarded for their significant scientific achievements, publications in prestigious journals and research results. Three MUNI SCIENTIST AWARD 2023 prizes will go to the MU Faculty of Medicine.
Since 2020, the Grant Agency of Masaryk University (GAMU) has been awarding scientists from Masaryk University for their outstanding achievements. The aim is to strengthen the motivation of scientists and spread the reputation of MU in the scientific community and the public. This year GAMU awarded 37 excellent scientists or research teams. The award ceremony took place on 11 December in the refectory of the Mendel Museum.
Scientists from nine MU faculties, CEITEC and the Institute of Computer Science were awarded.
Awarded scientists from the Faculty of Medicine of MU:
- Regina Demlová (Department of Pharmacology, Head of the Institute): awarded for the prestigious Horizon Europe Teaming grant - CREATIC project
- Jan Křivánek (Department of Histology and Embryology, Research Group Leader): awarded for the article Spatiotemporal monitoring of hard tissue development reveals unknown features of tooth and bone development published in Science Advances
- Radka Lordick Obermannová (Department of Comprehensive Oncological Care): awarded for the article Oesophageal cancer: ESMO Clinical Practice Guideline for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up published in Annals of Oncology.
