Simulation is becoming increasingly important in medical education. The Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University hosted another edition of the SIMPO simulation symposium.

The seemingly peaceful summer at the Simulation Centre of the Faculty of Medicine culminated on 21 August 2024 with the first ever defence of the recently established new doctoral study programme Simulation in Medicine.​

On 15th August a pilotage took place in SIMU, which was attended by 11 students led by Adriana Braunová Ph.D., MUDr. Martin Sihlovec and MUDr. Petra Chmelová.

From 19 to 21 June 2024, an international meeting of simulation medicine enthusiasts took place in Prague at the SESAM 2024 conference. The whole congress was held in the spirit of celebrating the European Society for Simulation (SESAM), which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. Join us for a look at this year's congress, which also had the largest ever participation by representatives of the MU Faculty of Medicine, who presented activities related to SIMU and the Institute of Simulation Medicine.

On Tuesday, 12 June 2024, the 2nd Pre-hospital Care Simulation Course was held at SIMU with eight male and female paramedics from different parts of the country.

The third meeting of the MU Faculty of Medicine Scientific Council this year took place at the Simulation Centre of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University.

After a year, the Emergency Medicine Course returned to the LF MU Simulation Centre, which took place on 13 April 2024. The traditional course, organised by the AKUTNĚ.CZ portal for 4th - 6th year students of General Medicine at LF MU, was held for the third time in a new setting and in one of the most modern simulated teaching facilities.

On 23 April, the 2nd Otoscopy course for paediatricians took place at SIMU.
