SimUniversity
SimUniversity is an innovative initiative of SESAM (Society for Simulation in Europe) that promotes innovation and networking in simulation-based medical education. It creates opportunities for undergraduate medical students to participate in formative learning on an international platform through competition between teams involved in solving simulation scenarios.
SimUniversity aims to create opportunities for undergraduate medical students to gain international experience. Participation in the competition provides medical student teams from around the world with the opportunity to compete and learn from each other under the supervision of experienced clinicians and experts in simulation medicine, developing their clinical and non-technical skills and, most importantly, the chance to experience something extraordinary.

The local round of SimUniversity will be held with the support of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Martin Repko, Ph.D. and the Vice-Dean for Development and Studies in General Medicine Prof. Petr Štourač, M.D., Ph.D., MBA, FESAIC. During the local round, the winning team will be selected to represent MU in the national round of this simulation competition.
The event is intended for four-member teams of MU medical students (general medicine, paramedic, nursing) interested in simulation medicine.

The National Round of SimUniversity will be held under the auspices of the President of the Association of Deans of Medical Faculties of the Czech Republic, Prof. Martin Repko, M.D., Ph.D. The winner of the national round will represent the Czech Republic at SimUniversity 2024 at the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM) annual meeting, this time in Prague.
The event is intended for selected four-member teams of medical students representing medical faculties in the Czech Republic (general medicine, paramedic, nursing) interested in simulation medicine.
Capacity: one team for each medical faculty in the Czech Republic

Congratulations!
The winner of the National Round will represent the Czech Republic at SimUniversity 2024, which will take place during the SESAM Annual Meeting in Prague. The SimUniversity will be followed by an audience of SESAM Annual Meeting participants. Both groups can learn during the competition: the students by performing scenarios, and the audience by observing the students and considering styles of scripting, medical treatment and debriefing. All sessions are designed to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable learning environment.
