Life saver, death in the scenario, or tips and tricks for designing simulation scenarios (Markéta Nowaková, Bořek Trávníček)

Are you preparing new simulation scenarios for your teaching? At this workshop, we will discuss how to prepare the best possible simulation scenario, how to simplify our work, and what we should avoid when designing scenarios.

  • 14:15 - 15:45

When students remain silent (Martina Bruzlová)

We like to use discussion in our lessons, but the response is not always what we would like it to be. Students don't speak, or they only answer our questions with one word. We try, but most of the time there is just an awkward silence. Why is this, and can we change it? Join us in discovering ways to get students talking. We will give you specific tips and you will be able to try everything out in practice.

This is a preliminary program for Symposium 2025, which will be updated on an ongoing basis. It is currently valid as of August 8, 2025.
