Defenses of dissertation thesis in doctoral study programmes at the Faculty of Medicine in January 2024

In January 2024, the following doctoral students became new graduates of doctoral study programmes at the Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine by successfully completing their studies and defending their dissertations:
- Miguel Salazar Adams, M.Sc., PhD, defended his dissertation "Successful human interaction requires the inhibition of selfish choices", supervisor Daniel Joel Shaw, PhD, M.Sc., doctoral study programme Neurosciences, specialisation Neurosciences.
- Tereza Prokopová, PhD, defended her dissertation “The principles of palliative care in ICU”, supervisor Prof. PhDr. Andrea Pokorná, PhD, doctoral study programme Anesthesiology, Intensive Medicine and Pain Management.
- Lubomír Večeřa, PhD, defended his dissertation “Effect of perioperative pain management on the development of cancer”, supervisor doc. MUDr. Tomáš Gabrhelík, PhD, doctoral study programme Anesthesiology, Intensive Medicine and Pain Management.
- Eva Hlaváčková, PhD, defended her dissertation “Secondary hypogammaglobulinemia in children”, supervisor prof. MUDr. Jiří Litzman, CSc., doctoral study programme Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology, specialisation Medical Microbiology and Immunology.
- Lukáš Vacek, PhD, defended his dissertation "Emerging Strategies and Technologies to Combat Pathogens in the Post Antibiotic Era in Fields of Enzybiotic Treatment and Low-Temperature Plasma Decontamination", supervisor Prof. MUDr. Filip Růžička, PhD, doctoral study programme Medical Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology, specialisation Medical Microbiology and Immunology.
