The subject of this painting is neutrophils under a microscope. In the nuclei of neutrophils is inscribed a sentence from a letter written by the physiologist Prof. Vladislav Kruta, announcing to his superiors in 1970 that he would not revoke his signature on the Manifesto of 2000 Words, which was the reason for his forced departure from the faculty and ban from activity. His personal estate and the materials of other scientists, as well as the fonds of the entire medical faculty, are stored in the Masaryk University Archives.
