At the meeting of the management of the Faculty of Medicine MU, doc. MUDr. Martina Kosinová, Ph.D. and doc. MUDr. Jozef Klučka Ph.D. were presented with an award in connection with Dies Academicus.

On 8th and 9th June 2021 there was another premiere in the new Simulation Centre of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University in a series of courses focused on postgraduate medical education. This time the course focused on the management of critical conditions that may occur during the anaesthesia of adult patients.

On 10^th June 2021, on the occasion of the academic holiday Dies Academicus 2021 at MU, the Masaryk University Rector's Awards were presented online with regard to the current epidemic situation.

On 28 – 30 May, a professional conference MCSB 2021 (Conference on Cybernetic Modeling of Biological Systems) took place in Krakow, where the activities of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University were presented within an invited lecture entitled „Computer modeling of medical and healthcare curricula: building, analysis, mapping and optimization in practice“ and within a following workshop on „Building Curriculum Infrastructure in Medical Education“.

The first year of a project lead by the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) called „Right to Life“ took place on 4th – 6th June 2021 in cooperation with SIMU, Ferdinandus Orden 1561, Bily kruh bezpeci, Police of the Czech Republic, System of psychosocial intervention service (SPIS), Spondea and IDT Brno.

A pilot workshop within the Communication in Practice project took place in the Simulation Centre of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University on 10th May 2021.

The first-ever courses focused on managing critical conditions in children in the operating rooms, emergency rooms as well as in pre-hospital care environment took place in the Simulation Centre of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University on 11 and 12 May 2021. 

2 months of training, 10 student lecturers, 20 extras and 30 participants. That is the result of the 11th First-aid simulation course traditionally held every semester within the courses of cooperation across years of study, which took place on 25th April 2021.
