Description Immunofluorescence methods have been used in medical research and diagnostics for more than 50 years. In dermatology, direct and indirect immunofluorescence methods are mainly used in diagnostics of immunobullous and conective tissue diseases. The review summarizes the basic diagnostic possibilities and common findings in these diseases, and other uses, including modern applications of immunofluorescence methods.
