Description	Critical evaluation of published records and recent review including 27 species are given. Nemotelus niloticus is newly recorded in Europe and Italy, Lasiopa pseudovillasa and Zabrachia tenella are recorded from Sardinia for the first time. Nemotelus brachystomus and N. leucorhynchus are considered to be mere synonyms of N. notatus.
