Description Cyclooxygenase - 2 (COX-2) is an enzyme, which plays a key role in processes of inflammation and carcinogenesis. It represents a molecule intimately linked to the oncogenesis of panreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, which is a multistep praces characterized by the progression from normal dustal epithelium through the spectrum of non-invasive pancreatic ductal intraepithelial neoplasias (PanINs) to structures of invasive adenocarcinoma.
