Description The article provides hitherto unknown information about Charikleia Šťastná (Karmitsi) (1869–1921) about her activities in Greek-Czech relations. It describes in detail her pedagogical activities at the Czech-Slavonic Business Academy in Prague and her translation activities from Czech into Modern Greek. Based on the available archive and contemporary sources, it seems that she was the first translator to translate Czech literature (Svatopluk Čech, Božena Němcová, Alois Jirásek, etc.) into Modern Greek via the Czech original texts.
