Description | The present study summarizes most of the models of classification of the Slavic languages, which have been formulated till the present time. For their easier comparison, the conclusions of various authors were transformed into tree diagrams, if they were not proposed already in this form. In total, 21 models of classification of the Slavic languages are collected and compared here, many of which were created for this study from their verbal description or enumeration. With regard to the apparently close relationship of the Slavic languages, it seems to be a surprisingly high number. |
