| Description | The publication, based on experience from many years of practice, is intended not only for physicians performing ergospirometric examinations, but also for other experts who encounter the results of ergospirometry and apply them in practice, for coaches of top athletes and students of medical and sports faculties. The introduction describes the physiological processes taking place during exercise and methodological procedures for the correct use of ergospirometry. In other parts of the book, the individual parameters monitored during exercise and recovery phase of ergospirometric examination and the method of determining both ventilation thresholds are described and displayed in new, as yet unpublished color graphs. Separate chapters are devoted to the application of ergospirometry results in selected cardiac diseases and the use of ergospirometry in sports medicine. The method of correct prescription of training parameters for cardiovascular rehabilitation is also described in detail. |
