Description | The human skin microbiome plays important roles in skin health and disease. Trie human microbiome contains up to eight million genes. Acne vulgaris is a highly heterogenous disorder with relation to predilection localisation, with typical lesions. Propioiiibacterium acnes is a major commensal of the human skin has been associated with the progression of acne vulgaris. Propionibacterium acnes plays a physiological role by inhibiting invasion by pathogenic bacteria. |
