| Description | There is long tradition of optometry studying in Brno. In 1966 was established first optic school and from 1993 is in Brno possible to study bachelor study program called optic and optometry. From 1997 students can study master program called optometry. Study program Ortoptics students can study in Brno from 2013. Department of optometry and orthoptics and Department of ophthalmology and optics organize education and partially provide also teaching. The head of these two departments is associated professor Synek. Members of both departments every year participates on important professional events where usually presents also their own work here. These time Department of optometry and optics progressively rises especially due to own members activities and also due to successful aspiration on grants of specific research. |
