Development of novel effective anti-cancer therapies requires ever deeper understanding of the underlying principles of cancer growth through basic research. This interdisciplinary research project will elucidate how mechanical forces of the microenvironment, ubiquitous but insufficiently understood, regulate normal tissue morphogenesis and contribute to tumour formation.
