Ph.D. School Board

Since September 2024, the Ph.D. School Board has been included as a new advisory body for the Dean in the Organisational Regulations of the Faculty of Medicine Masaryk University.

Composition:

• Vice-Dean for Research, PhD. Studies and Institutional Development FM MU
• Administrative Director of the Ph.D. School Board
• Chair of the Doctoral Boards of all doctoral study programmes at FM MU
• Deputies for Research in contracted healthcare institutions (FN Brno, FNUSA, MOU)
• Representatives of supervisors and mentors
• Representatives of the newly created Ph.D. Candidates Platform FM MU

This advisory body is involved in the strategic management and further development of the FM MU Ph.D. School, in particular:

• strategy and development of the Ph.D. school
• a strategy for the sustainable funding of doctoral studies
• cooperation with partners from academia, research, healthcare institutions and industry
• coordination of activities in national and international organisations
• fostering academic collaborations
• the organisation of the admissions procedure
• commenting on internal regulations
• internal evaluation of the quality of doctoral studies
• communication with the Ph.D. Candidates Platform
