Vice-Rector's Award for six recent PhD graduates from the Faculty of Medicine
At the beginning of November, six graduates of the Faculty of Medicine received the Masaryk University Vice-Rector's Award for Excellence in Doctoral Studies.
Both the local and national rounds of the international SimUniversity competition will take place at the Simulation Centre of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Latvia. Students and their teams can apply for the local round until 30 September 2023.
Both rounds will be held at the LF MU Simulation Centre with the support of LF MU Dean Prof. Repko and Vice-Dean Prof. Štourač. The project is coordinated by Tamara Skříšovská, M.D., who is the Vice President of the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESAM).
SimUniversity is a simulation competition, under the auspices of the Society for Simulation in Europe (SESEAM).Teams of students from all over the world have the opportunity to learn from each other under the supervision of experienced clinicians and experts in the field of simulation medicine, develop their clinical and non-technical skills and experience something extraordinary.
Each team will deal with a critical incident situation in a high fidelity simulation and can test not only their knowledge of the correct procedure, but also how team communication works.
The local round is open to all medical students (general medicine, nursing and paramedic) in teams of 4 members until 30 September 2023 by email: sekretariat.simu@med.muni.cz
The winner of the national round will represent the Czech Republic at the annual SESAM meeting, which will take place on 19-21 June 2024 in Prague.
