On the threshold of the New Year - with gratitude, hope and together
Amidst the hustle and bustle and fatigue of the end of the year, there is an opportunity to pause, reflect on the achievements and step into the next year with gratitude and hope.
All campus faculties and CEITEC joined together for one day to provide PhD candidates with all the necessary information in addition to important motivation.
On Wednesday 14th September, just after the start of the semester, the traditional PhD Day took place on campus. Although the event is intended for final-year Master's students and first-year Ph.D. students, anyone interested in Ph.D. studies could attend.
The event took place in person this year, and the visitors could consult their questions directly with faculty representatives from both the management and administration, as well as students of specific Ph.D. programmes. Roll-ups showcasing individual doctoral programmes with QR codes to specific doctoral programme websites were placed throughout the campus corridor.
At the beginning of the Ph.D. day, a memorandum of cooperation of campus faculties was formally signed for the field of doctoral studies. The brand new MUNI MENDEL DOCTORANDUS programme was also officially launched.
Information about the Ph.D. Day and individual presentations are available on the faculty's website.
We look forward to your participation next year!

This year, the Martina Roesel Memorial Grant, aimed at supporting parent scientists, was also awarded to Monika Kratochvílová, Ph.D. The grant will enable her to provide care for her younger son in the children's group so that she can continue her beneficial research on cancer cells. As she says, the award is a great relief and a commitment for her.
