Nominate your colleagues and students for the MUNI Innovation Award 2021

A pilot year of an award for students and employees of Masaryk University, whose outcomes have successfully been introduced into practice, helped to improve products or services or contributed to increase the practical application of knowledge and activities of the university is starting. Anyone can nominate interesting and innovative acts. The awarded can receive a total of 1,7 million CZK.

Up until 15th September 2021, anyone (a natural person from Masaryk University or outside of it, or any legal person) can nominate a student or an employee of the MU for the pilot year of MUNI Innovation Award 2021. The key criteria for nominations are inventions successfully introduced into practice and other outcomes of scientific and research activities, projects, services and other socially important activities and outcomes that were successfully introduced into practice, helped to improve products or services, or those, about which the creator is convinced contributed to increase the social relevance of research at the MU and have a character of an important innovation act.

For the pilot year, no categories have been set. Up to 30 individuals nominated for outcomes or activities, which were created, published, used or applied in the period of 1st January 2015 to 30th June 2021 will be awarded. The awarded can receive gifts and a financial amount in the total of 1,700,000 CZK. You can find more information about the award and its rules, including the link for nomination via this link.

The evaluation is carried out by an independent commission, composed of professional university and non-university public, Council for Technology Transfer and Commercial Cooperation of MU, management of MU, representatives of faculties or other involved economic units at MU. The announcement of results will take place within the traditional event MU Business Research Forum in a form of ceremony on 11th November 2021.
