Meet our Ambassadors. Now, we would like to introduce Maria Demou. If you have any questions/queries/concerns, please feel free to contact her.
What experiences make you a great ambassador?
I believe that having spent 6 years studying medicine at Masaryk University, I have gained lots of unique and life experiences that have developed me as a student and especially as a person. During these 6 years, I am now confident to assist current and fresher students during their studies. I have a good understanding of how the University operates and I am more than happy to share any information and tips to students. In addition, as a member of the Masaryk International Medical Students Association (MIMSA), it allowed me to interact with students all across the University.
What advice would you give to new students?
What I have learned through my years as a student is to never be afraid to ask for help. Without the advice and guidance from other students, I wouldn’t be able to come where I am now. Another advice would be to start studying at an early stage and work as hard as possible to achieve the best results. But always remember that beyond studying social and personal life is also important to keep you healthy and going.
What do you love most about Brno?
Brno has been correctly named a "Student City". Even though it is small compared to other cities, it provides students with a great choice of out-going activities and places to visit with multiple places to have a cup of coffee and many cool places to have a drink. Yet, what I love the most about Brno is the multi-cultural environment that it enhances.
