The regular informal social gathering to kick off the new academic year will take place this year on Tuesday, October 10.
In the spirit of the tradition started in 2018, another edition of the Deans' Barbecue - an informal social gathering of students and the faculty management to kick off the new academic year - will take place on Tuesday, October 10. And just like last year, not only the deans of the campus faculties, i.e. the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Sports Studies but also the Faculty of Pharmacy, which already regularly participates in events on the university campus, have promised to attend.
The late Indian summer will once again be scented with specialties from the grill in the outdoor areas of the campus, and good drinks will naturally accompany good food. The programme will be filled with low-impact sports activities prepared by the Faculty of Sports Studies (e.g. ping-pong or pétanque), a campus raffle and recorded music.
"It is pleasing to see that the campus is alive and well, and events such as the Deans' Barbecue contribute to this. I would like to invite all of our students to attend it and my colleagues for a get-together that has always been very enjoyable so far. I believe that everyone will enjoy it, especially those who are entering their first year and who may find the Deans' Barbecue a way to get rid of any shyness and give them encouragement at the start of their new life stage," says Martin Repko, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
See you then, on the afternoon of 10 October between pavillions C13 and C14. We look forward to seeing you there!
