Act of Remembrance

Generations of medical students have passed, are passing, and will pass through the Department of Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine. In the course of their studies, they learn about the structure and arrangement of the organ systems of the human body, which would not be possible without the noble decision of voluntary donors who agree that after death their bodies will be used for the purpose of teaching future doctors.

By organizing a memorial concert for body donors, we would like to express our deep gratitude to all those who, through their generous donations, have made it possible for the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine MU to continue to be a place of quality medical education.

At the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, we are aware that practical anatomy teaching is far from commonplace and that real people hide behind anatomical specimens. People who have given their bodies so that our students can receive the best possible education. The Central Cemetery of Brno will become a crypt and a dignified resting place for body donors.
