31st International Conference on Hospital Epidemiology and Hygiene

The conference is organized by the Czech Society of Hospital Epidemiology and Hygiene ČLS JEP. The event traditionally focuses on current challenges and innovations in the prevention and control of healthcare associated infections (HAI). The main topics will be legislative and economic aspects of HAI, including accreditation, validation and state health surveillance, microbial aspects of infections, antibiotic resistance and antimicrobial stewardship strategies. In addition, the conference will address HAI surveillance, methods of prevention of specific infections, anti-epidemic measures in hospital practice, health protection of healthcare workers and patient safety. Environmental risk control, including disinfection, sterilization and other preventive measures, will also be discussed. The event is of a postgraduate training nature.
