Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers a preparatory course for students who intend to enter studies of General Medicine or Dentistry. The programme provides excellent preparation for the entrance examination and the first year of our General Medicine / Dentistry degree through a well-balanced blend of modules in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Preparatory Courses
Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers three E-learning preparatory courses for students who intend to study General Medicine, Dentistry in the English language and Intensive Czech Language Course for students who have already been accepted to study in the academic year. The course should provide an advantage of easier start to the introduction of the Czech language, orientation in grammar and conversational situations in everyday life.

Vote for our botanical garden. It is about half a million!
The E.ON Energy Globe competition has six finalists. Among them, the Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University. The prize money amounting to half a million will go to the project which amasses the most votes by 20 August. Actor and presenter Lukáš Hejlík is the ambassador of our project.

Rector’s Award for “action-packed” Hamlet translation
“We are all vain men,” jokes Filip Krajník from the Faculty of Arts about the long line of Shakespeare translators. He too began translating Shakespeare’s Hamlet two years ago and has now been awarded the MU Rector’s Award for his book edition, which includes an introductory study and a critical apparatus.
