Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers a preparatory course for students who intend to enter studies of General Medicine or Dentistry. The programme provides excellent preparation for the entrance examination and the first year of our General Medicine / Dentistry degree through a well-balanced blend of modules in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Preparatory Courses
Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers three E-learning preparatory courses for students who intend to study General Medicine, Dentistry in the English language and Intensive Czech Language Course for students who have already been accepted to study in the academic year. The course should provide an advantage of easier start to the introduction of the Czech language, orientation in grammar and conversational situations in everyday life.

More beds at dormitories: first-year students are a priority
Continuous improvement of comfort at dormitories has long been among MU’s long-term priorities. Last year the Mánesova dormitory underwent renovations of the interiors; this year the dormitory at bratří Žůrků saw the much needed layout upgrade.

Success in Paris: Olympics and Paralympics with MU
Masaryk University has long followed the “biggest celebration of sports” – the Olympic and Paralympic Games. In addition to a few TOP 10 results in Paris, it can be proud of “its” medal success: the fencing team’s bronze medal is a result of collaboration with Dean of the Faculty of Sports Jan Cacek.

Sustainability summer school excites international students
In the summer, the Centre for International Cooperation of Masaryk University opened the first year of the summer school Urban Sustainability: Engage in the Future. The teachers received excellent responses to the three-week summer school – the students appreciated the practically oriented teaching and the opportunity to try out a case study on the streets of Brno.
