Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers a preparatory course for students who intend to enter studies of General Medicine or Dentistry. The programme provides excellent preparation for the entrance examination and the first year of our General Medicine / Dentistry degree through a well-balanced blend of modules in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

Preparatory Courses
Medical Faculty of Masaryk University offers three E-learning preparatory courses for students who intend to study General Medicine, Dentistry in the English language and Intensive Czech Language Course for students who have already been accepted to study in the academic year. The course should provide an advantage of easier start to the introduction of the Czech language, orientation in grammar and conversational situations in everyday life.

Mendel’s greenhouse restored in museum garden
A greenhouse dating back to 1854 in which Gregor Johann Mendel conducted his experiments with peas, laying the foundations of modern genetics, has been restored with MU support in the grounds of the Augustinian Abbey in Brno.

European Commissioner Věra Jourová met Andrey Zubov at MU
Věra Jourová visited Masaryk University. The highest ranking Czech woman in the executive branch of the EU wanted to meet professor Zubov.

MU and Rennes open two inter-university programmes
MU Rector Martin Bareš and University of Rennes 1 Rector David Alis signed an agreement on two joint study programmes, also called double degrees, in Rennes on Thursday. Graduates of these programmes will receive diplomas from both universities.

I was pleasantly surprised by MU and Brno, says Canadian student
Inga Palsson studied psychology in Montreal, but she was not very keen on it, so she was wondering about going to study in Europe. In the end, she chose the English Language and Literature programme at MU, where she could study literature and linguistics at the same time, which she found very interesting.
