What experiences make you a great ambassador?
Hi everyone! On a personal level, I've always loved helping people around me and guiding them to find ways to improve. I am/was (depending on when you read this, ahah) the President of MIMSA for the year 2024, and it made me a way more organized and comprehensive person. I really tend to be the best version of myself because being a doctor is about evolving with your field of work.
What advice would you give to new students?
BALANCE. Everyone must have already told you that, and I'm not going to revolutionize your mindset, but please trust me that it's way better to stop 1-2 hours to refuel your brain from time to time than forcing it and slowly reducing its efficiency. As I always say to freshers, stay true to your feelings. You need to give 100% every time you are studying, but when you are not efficient in studying, take a 10-20 minute break and come back stronger. My social life has been really good since I came here. I was able to make a lot of friends, play volleyball three times a week, and maintain a balanced mental health. Medicine is the friends you make along the way :)
What do you love most about Brno?
I would say that I've had the chance to travel a lot in my life, and to be fair, it exceeded my expectations. I thought I'd be in this city only for studying, and my vision was limited to this. Then I did the orientation week and discovered that the city never sleeps. There is always something happening, and the diversity of activities is huge. Whether you are a person who allows free time for partying, sports, relaxing in a spa, small gatherings, or charity, you'll find everything here to make the most out of the free time you have. Also, geographically, it's amazing. You can travel around Europe on quite a cheap budget! I can't wait to meet you guys in person! Merci de m'avoir lu les fratés.
