V4 Network of Medical Simulation Centres: Building Good Practices
SIMU supports the cooperation of medical simulation centres and the building of good practice in simulation education in the Visegrad Four countries within the V4 Network of Medical Simulation Centres: Building Good Practices project (22230004).
Representatives of simulation centres from Warsaw (PL - Lazarski University), Kosice (SK - Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice), Szeged (HU - University of Szeged) and Brno (SIMU MED MUNI) met on the occasion of the 3rd working meeting on Monday 29. The programme included a demonstration of a high-fidelity simulation training lesson in a standard room space, including a debriefing session followed by a discussion and interactive workshop focused on the topics of simulation-based learning and Objective Structured Evaluation (OSCE). After lunch, a discussion was held on the standardized simulation lesson form used at SIMU. The international partners were then given the opportunity to lead a selected simulation of a pre-arranged group of students based on the form. The busy programme was enhanced by the topic of objective structured clinical evaluation and a presentation of how this is handled at SIMU in the course of propedeutics.
On the second day of the meeting, representatives of simulation centres in the Czech Republic were invited, after which a summary of the most important points of the topics discussed on the previous day was prepared, as well as again a demonstration of a simulation lesson and a tour of the simulation centre.
The SIMU was represented, and the meeting was led by Petr Štourač, Martina Kosinová, Jan Dvořáček, Jiří Travěnec, Martina Žižlavská and Martin Komenda. Thanks to all the participants for a successful event, which was beneficial for the development of good practice in simulation education across the Visegrad Group countries.
The project is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic and Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of this fund is to promote ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
