The First Aid teacher at SIMU completed The Master Debriefer Course
In the autumn months, Tereza Vafková, a first aid lecturer, completed The Master Debriefer Course organized by The Debriefing Academy.
There were 7 regular online meetings lasting several hours during which the participants discussed topics such as psychological safety, cognitive load theory, PEARLS debriefing framework, co-debriefing, peer coaching, difficult debriefing and many others. The course was led by experts who have been dealing with the topic of debriefing and faculty development for a long time, such as Adam Cheng, Vincent Grant, Walter Eppich or Michaela Kolbeí.
The course was very well organized and useful for further work of First Aid lecturers within SIMU. The opportunity to try out various skills in practice and get feedback from professionals will help us to improve in some areas such as working with emotions or analysis phase and closing performance gaps during lessons at the Simulation Center of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University.
