SIMU represented at AMEE 2020
The AMEE annual conference, a widely attended international conference focused on medical education, was held in September 2020.
Given the epidemiological situation this year, the conference was held online. SIMU was represented by colleagues from the First Aid team and team of technicians preparing the SIMUportfolio platform.
Within the First Aid, a paper was presented pursuing the evaluation of the contribution of involving students in the role of lecturers in the first aid simulation course. The second paper described the development and implementation of the SIMUportfolio integration platform. In this presentation, the authors introduced the basic components of the entire system and accepted a new module for OSCE administration. Besides active participation, our colleagues had the opportunity to hear a number of interesting talks, which addressed, for example, the current challenges related to distance education, faculty development programs, opportunities for active student involvement in the curriculum, peer learning or the use of video in medical education. The conference was very interesting and beneficial. It was the inspiration for further activities of the SIMU team.
