Nurse in Intensive Care with a focus on anaesthesia
The second week of January 2022 was devoted to the nurses at SIMU.
Twelve participants from among experienced anaesthetic nurses took part in the first simulation course focused purely on non-medical medical staff, which took place within the framework of the certified course Nurse in Intensive Care with a focus on anaesthesia. During the four simulation days, participants completed fifteen high-fidelity simulations, two sessions using the cooperative method of problem-based learning, and a series of workshops (advanced emergency resuscitation and safe defibrillation, airway management including videolaryngoscopy and assisted coniotomy, a peripheral venous catheter management under ultrasound, and arterial catheter management and intraosseous access). The varied programme, complemented by the positive participants, created a safe atmosphere to which we believe everyone will be happy to return.

Head of the FM Simulation Centre
"The course at the Simulation Centre was definitely beneficial for me. Thanks to the perfect cooperation of lecturers and technicians, there was no blind spot and it was possible to enjoy the prepared scenarios to the fullest. It was inspiring to experience situations from everyday practice in a different context and a different role, which was often surprising. It offers an impetus for the possibility of changing the stereotypes experienced, and I see this as one of the meanings of the simulations. And as the icing on the cake, the fun in a good team and the pleasant environment of the Simulation Centre."
