LF MU on Wednesday 23 October selected its representatives for the national round of the SimUniversity competition.
The local round of the SimUniversity competition took place on 23 October 2024 under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Martin Repko and the Head of the Institute of Simulation Medicine Prof. Petr Štourač. Three teams composed of students of different years competed in two rounds of high-fidelity simulations for the opportunity to represent their faculty at the national level. In the first round, they measured their strength in dealing with sudden circulatory arrest due to an acute myocardial infarction, while the final two teams then cared for a critically ill infant. The judges and debriefers doc. Martina Kosinová, dr. Václav Vafek and dr. Daniel Barvík. Nevertheless, and quite deservedly, the first place in this competition went to the team consisting of Daniel Diabelko, Barbora Horniaková, Jiří Holek and Matúš Surovčák. Congratulations not only to the winning team, but also to all those who participated in the competition. We will keep our fingers crossed for our representatives at the national round on November 22, 2024 in Brno again and hopefully in the next rounds of the competition, including the final at the SESAM conference in Valencia, Spain.
