EPALS
The EPALS course was held on 13-14 January and 15-16 January at the Simulation Centre. It is a certified course of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and is intended for all healthcare professionals.
The most frequent participants of the course are physicians of all specialties, especially doctors of emergency medicine, anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine, as well as paramedics and nurses working in intensive care or resuscitation units, operating theatres, hospital emergency rooms or emergency medical services. One of them was Beata Krejčířová, who shared her experience from the course with us:
"On the weekend of 13-14 January 2024, I took part in the EPALS course at the MU Simulation Centre with colleagues from the Pediatric Clinic of the Brno University Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine. The course was very well prepared in terms of organization. Before the start of the course we received all the necessary information and clearly prepared educational material. The course itself was very intensive and practical. In two days we got perfectly acquainted with critical situations in paediatric care. The lecturers were very kind, helpful and professional at a high level. The main organizers, headed by Assoc. Martina Kosinová and prof. Petr Štourač covered everything with their high erudition and friendly approach. It is also impossible not to mention the excellent catering, which provided us with the necessary energy throughout the course. I recommend the course to all those who care for paediatric patients, both in hospital and in pre-hospital care. It was a great weekend! Thank you."
