Communication in practice - workshop
A pilot workshop within the Communication in Practice project took place in the Simulation Centre of the Medical Faculty of Masaryk University on 10th May 2021.
The primary goal of the project is to point out the important role of doctor-patient communication and to acquaint students with basic communication strategies that could help them to better manage the first contacts with patients during internships during teaching, as well as communication with patients in future medical practice.
The workshop was focused on the topic "First contact with the patient", so the participants tried four simulations, or more precisely, with the help of lecturers and student actors, they tried the first contact with the patient during the morning rounds, at the emergency, the first contact with a paediatric patient and conducting a clinical interview with a geriatric patient.
