Communication in Practice
On 17 October 2022, the workshop "Communication in Practice" took place at SIMU with the aim of developing students' communication skills with the help of simulated scenes and subsequent feedback.
The participants received e-learning materials, which were created in cooperation with the Institute of Psychology and Psychosomatics and served as a guide for them in the individual situations at the workshop itself.
Under the guidance of lecturers Karolína Brňáková, Ladislav Kouřím, David Neuman, Edison Nguyen, Jakub Pollák, Klára Zita Šotkovská, Zuzana Lieskovská, Alexandra Klučková, Natália Görögová and Viktor Molnár, the students were able to try out communication with patients in practice in pre-set simulations. Their task was to read the introductory text to the simulation and then, in the role of a doctor, to successfully manage the conversation. The simulations were followed by a debriefing session in groups, where they worked together with the lecturers to review the important points of a successful patient interview.
